Privacy, Terms & AI Data Use

The Europoor Statistical Office (“ESO”, “we”) publishes a satirical statistical artefact. It is not an institution, body, office or agency of the European Union, and nothing here is legal, financial, tax or immigration advice. The numbers are real; the letterhead is a joke.

The Index is a static publication. Browsing it requires no account and we ask for no personal data. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. Anonymous, aggregated request logs may be retained by our hosting provider for security and capacity, with no attempt to identify you.

What you type into the Relocation Desk (Rupert)

When you message Rupert, the text you send — which may include personal context you choose to share, such as your income or occupation — is transmitted to a third-party language model (see §3) to interpret your request and phrase a reply. The conversation lives only in your browser for the session; we do not store it on our servers, log its contents, or build a profile of you. By sending a message you consent to that processing. We ask you not to share sensitive personal identifiers — your full name and address, government ID numbers, health records or financial account details — as the underlying model is hosted outside the EEA (see §3). Closing or resetting the desk discards the conversation.

Where the live model is enabled, what you type is processed by an OpenAI-compatible provider. Our default provider (DeepSeek) routes to infrastructure outside the EEA, for which there is no EU adequacy decision and which several European regulators have scrutinised (the Italian Garante restricted its app in January 2025). It offers no data-processing agreement or EU residency, so we ask you to keep sensitive personal identifiers out of the conversation, and we treat anything you send as transient — it is not stored or logged on our side.

The provider sits behind a swap-in interface: it can be moved to an EU-hosted model under appropriate safeguards (DPA, Standard Contractual Clauses, transfer-impact assessment) as a configuration change. Every figure Rupert quotes is computed by our own deterministic engine, not the model; if the model is unavailable, the desk falls back to that engine and never fails over to a third party.

The Index and every artefact it generates — scores, ratings, statements, budgets, narrations — are informational and satirical only. They are not advice and confer no rights. Index values are relative comparisons across the covered countries, not guarantees of any personal outcome. You rely on them at your own risk; to the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties.

  • The composite labels (“Poor”, “Very Poor”, “Comparatively Solvent”) describe countries on a relative index. They are never a judgement of any individual, and must not be applied to a person.
  • Figures are compiled from Eurostat, OECD, Numbeo and ONS sources and may carry the caveats noted in the Methodology. Live Eurostat retrievals can lag or fail; the date and source are always shown.
  • Reproduction is authorised provided the source is acknowledged. Source data remain governed by their original providers’ licences.

$EUROPOOR is a community memecoin on Solana. It is entirely separate from the statistical content: no score, ranking, statement, budget or AI narration is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any token, and none should be read as financial promotion.
